The Scrabble Run means a lot to us. It has become so much more than an event raising money for a cause we care about. When people come up to us weeks or months later and tell us how much fun they had & they are looking forward to doing it again… we really take that to heart. We are grateful for the commitment of numerous volunteers, supporters, friends and participants over the last nine years. The biker community has risen up and embraced us… it means the world to us and it also makes it a little bit harder to share this news.
We have decided to take 2020 off from the Scrabble Run. Putting together a ride of this scale, with all of its moving parts and coordination, is a significant investment of time. For the last nine years we have chosen to make the ride our priority. It just so happens that in May 2020 there are several big life events happening for us. In order to make it possible to be fully present, we’ve concluded we need to take the year off.
We just didn't see a path to put together what people have come to expect from us in a meaningful way, in a fraction of the time investment.
It matters to us that the Scrabble Run is recognized widely as a well-planned and well-executed event. It isn’t possible to keep that high standard *and* be fully present for these other occasions, all happening at the same time. And for those of you who know us well, you know we aren't willing to do the Scrabble Run with anything less than our full effort and attention.
While we did make this decision a while ago, it was not something that came easily. In some aspects we feel we are letting down a community that has lifted us up… but the truth is we simply need a little time to focus on the other things in our lives that are important to us too.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our 10th ride (!!!) on May 30, 2021. Don’t worry… It’ll be here sooner than you think.... and it's going to be a great ride. Here's a link to the 2021 event page on Facebook.

We work hard to take the group on scenic, untraveled roads. With new routes every year, we usually go about 150 miles.

The Scrabble Run for Autism benefits Navigating Autism, Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit organization founded in 2009. A resource for Wisconsin families, providing information and referrals to resources for those recently diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders. The organization provides unbiased information about treatment options, school expectations, insurance mandates, funding opportunities for uncovered treatments and more. 100% volunteer operated.
Founded in 2009, Navigating Autism, Inc. is a small, local nonprofit, staffed entirely by volunteers. We provide referral services to Wisconsin families so they can access resources when it comes to health care, at school, and more, all in one central place.
Proceeds from the Scrabble Run for Autism will be used to further our website development project & for website maintenance costs for the year, which is our primary means of providing information to families.
We are a federally-recognized 501c3 charitable organization.
